The un-trascendental sequin and its imagined dimensión…

Certain works of art are capable of producing a permanent dialogue between the here of physical matter and the there of the imagination. This seems to be the nature of the works created by Oscar Machado. It is this which takes us to both an optical and emotional state: we are in the gallery, standing before forms and web-like shapes produced in a studio, but feeling as if we were, immersed in a star-filled universe. Called upon to imagine, we trascend the premises, our bodies and even the very planet itself, to find ourselves in some far off galaxy.
